Can't remember seeing this version about anywhere so it might be rare, then again im pretty lazy so it might be common as muck. Quality remix, but then again you cant really beat the original can ya?

Now, rumours have been circulating recently about a Daft Punk 2010 tour and visit to Manchester, which has understandably been exciting the natives. Depending on what publications/forums/blogs you believe this gig could be at the City of Manchester stadium or MEN arena. In my opinion the arena would be an absolute travesty...its a shithole, but its probably just the NME's slack copy n pasting as the original rumored dates all said the stadium.

Anyway, judging by this recent Cool Cats blogpost from DP's managment, it ain't happening full stop. Official denial or just putting people off the scent? Only time will tell i guess.

Delving deeper into the house vaults now...back to the grand musical heights of 1989 with Capella and some classic old-school dance. Horrible yet weirdly amusing cover, the 7" i got is thankfully much different and does not feature any fingerless mitts. Tis a tune tho.

Turned Away

Ego War was a great album back in the day (umm, 2003), found the remix package of Turned Away for cheaps so snapped it up. Highlight for me is the Grant Nelson instrumental, i dismissed it as a bit commercial sounding at first but its growing on me. Good house music with a killer bassline.

Im pretty pleased with this one...completely freestyled it, just jumped in the dj booth at work and got down to business. I'd say this is a fair representation of our live sets, couple of small errors but i couldn't be arsed with any edits...feels more organic for it too!
